Wirral’s newest Big Band was started in 2019 (under the name Jan Modelski Big Band) with the aim of bringing local musicians together to play all things jazz, swing, soul and pop in a Big Band style. Having survived an enforced break due to COVID, the band is back in a big way, growing in size and reputation, and has enjoyed successful gigs at a variety of local venues, often joined by our friends at the Wirral Pop Orchestra.
We are always on the lookout for new members – especially trombone players! There are no auditions.
Rehearsals are on Monday nights from 8 – 10.30pm at St Anne’s Parish Centre in Highfield Road, Rock Ferry, Wirral, CH42 2BY.
